Startling new testimony from expert witness:
sign1.jpg (105334 bytes)"I conclude that PPL can reliably serve electric demands in the Southern Lehigh region without building the new substation and transmission line it has proposed in this case. PPL’s own studies show that it can upgrade existing facilities and enhance the use of its existing substations and rights of way to reliably serve expected demands for at least the next 20 years. This is well beyond the planning horizon for facilities of this nature."

SENATOR WONDERLING FILES WITH PUC AS INTERVENER IN PPL BUCKS COUNTY TRANSMISSION LINE PLAN

"It is the intention of Senator Wonderling to participate fully in these proceedings to critically evaluate the evidentiary support for the proposed siting of the transmission line and to explore alternatives that would avoid its current proposed construction site. The twenty-fourth (24th) Senatorial District would be uniquely impacted by the siting of a new electric transmission line as the location of the line, as currently proposed, would traverse a significant geographical portion of the district that Senator Wonderling represents."

April 22, 2008: Primary Election - SUCCESS!

"First of all, a word about SbULU's performance on Election Day.

It was stellar!

We met our goal of 1,000 signatures (1,088).

* We were positively received by virtually everyone we approached.

* The percentage of voting residents who signed did not vary significantly across the three precincts.

* This is further confirmed by the fact that while the actual percentage of votes cast for individual candidates varied significantly from precinct to precinct, our percentages did not.

* Our petition signatures show that interest in this matter is not limited to the western part of Springfield Township, most effected by the power line, but is roughly equal throughout the Township. It is not a local issue, but a community one."
